We start by taking stock, not by sketching. We look at what is already there: content, systems, structures that have grown over the years, and the places where things go wrong day to day. Only then do we decide on concept and design. Because design and engineering sit in the same team, there is no handover between two suppliers, which is where projects usually lose time and substance. The person designing knows the technical consequences, and the person building was there when it was designed. Launch is not the end. Updates, security, backups and further development are part of the work, because a site nobody touches for two years loses its value.
WordPress and WooCommerce have been our core competence since we started. We also work with Shopify, Shopware and SAP Commerce Cloud, and where no shop system fits, we build a dedicated application instead. We write our own themes rather than recolouring a purchased template. We are not tied to one system, we choose it for the task: a catalogue with a handful of articles asks for something different than a B2B shop with negotiated prices and approval workflows. What matters to us is that our clients stay independent. You own the code, the systems are open source or well established, and hosts and suppliers can be replaced.
We are a small team. If you need an agency with in-house media planning, its own film production or a crew covering ten markets at once, a larger outfit will serve you better. Speed and lowest cost are not our strengths either: a custom theme with a clean data model takes more effort than a template, and we will honestly point you to the template when it fits the job. You are in the right place if design and engineering belong together for you, if your content or processes are more complex than a standard product covers, and if you want someone who keeps looking after the installation afterwards.
